Avocado Shake with Boba
Ingredients:
1 cup ice
1 avocado, peeled and pitted
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
large tapioca pearls
Directions:
In a medium pan bring about 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the amount of tapioca pearls you would want for one large drink. Continue to boil until the pearls float to the top and are soft, about 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat and cover. Allow to sit for 5 minutes. Meanwhile pulse the avocado, ice and sweetened condensed milk in a blender until smooth. Pour the pearls into your glass and top with avocado drink. Drink with a extra large straw
Yield: 1 shake

That looks so yummy!
I really like your photos and your food (that I've tried) is delicious.
this was my friend's most favorite drink while he was in bali and he always tried to make me an avocado shake, but i'm not buying (tho it does look pretty). avocado bubble teas are pretty common in vancouver (but you have to go to the right shop to get bubble teas made fresh without powders)
I've made mint-avocado shakes in the past (minus the boba) but they've always come across as a little "too much" due to the fat content of the avocado; kind of like drinking straight heavy cream. (Although a adding good dose of Hershey's chocolate syrup does wonders!)
i love avocado milk shake~ in SG, it cost around 6bucks for a cup~ =( thanks for the recipe! this save me bucks from buying from the stores!

Thanks for the post: I felt I was the only one that enjoyed avocado sweets. I like an avocado smoothie made by blending the fruit with milk, sugar and a few lemon drops. By adding less milk one can make it thicker and spoon it like a pudding. I'll have to try it with condensed milk and the tapioca pearls, sounds even better.
Whooooa. It must be delicious. I have never thought about such combination. Luckily I have one spare avocado to try this recipe. hip hip hurray :-)
I love avocados and I love bubble tea. Sounds like a winner to me!
Vietnamese folks are all about the FRESH avocado milkshakes for eons. "Sinh To Bo"
very cool -- i've never cooked with tapaica flour, but this looks so cool! i bet an avocado shake would actually be great!
when i first moved to new orleans i had a bubble tea at a local cafe. when i saw avocado was on the menu i went right for it and the owner suggested he add some coconut to sweeten it up. he was spot on, and i've never tasted anything like it since. definitely not a powder! unfortunately, they went out of business.
I've bought black and multi-colored boba lately - now I know what to do with them!
mmmm avocado boba YESS
Sounds very interesting...I have never seen a shake with condensed milk.
