Spinach Cornbread




Ingredients:

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
3 eggs
10 oz frozen leaf spinach (defrosted and drained)
12 ounces cottage cheese
5 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl mix together the corn meal, flour, salt, baking powder and sugar together. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, spinach, cottage cheese and melted butter. Stir all until just combined. Pour batter into a greased 8 inch baking dish. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown.

so far i have dry stuff bowl and wet stuff bowl separate.
then you say, "pour batter into baking dish".
I have no batter yet and am stuck in a corner making it as I am reading it.

What happened to the 'blend ingredients together' part?

I guess you didn't read it very carefully, "Stir all until just combined." is before the "pour into pan" part. Just a general baking tip, you always combine dry and wet ingredients to form a batter so even if the directions are confusing to you, just mix the two and voila, batter!
